Texas Bluebonnet Books
The Texas Bluebonnet Award is a program designed to encourage students in grade 3-6 to read for pleasure. Each year a list of 20 books is published. Students who read 5 of them by the middle of January will get to vote for their favorite of the 20 books. The votes are submitted to the state and the winner receives the prestigious Bluebonnet Award. Last year's winner was El Chupacabra by Crash McCreery.
